About Me
“I believe that man is immortal because he has a soul, a spirit capable of compassion and sacrifice and endurance. -The artist’s- role is to express these things, to help man endure by lifting his heart, by reminding him of the courage and honor and hope and pride and compassion and pity and sacrifice which have been the glory of his past.” (W.Faulkner)
My name is Tinatin Zhvania, “Tika”, and I am an abstract painter, originally from Georgia. Since I was a child, painting has been my go-to way of expressing my deepest emotions. It’s more than just a hobby—it's a compulsive need that I’ve felt long before my studies at the Art Academy in Tbilisi. Painting is what made me feel the perpetual motion of life and society. This constant state of flux is what I strive to capture in my art. The majority of my paintings have no title because I believe that concepts like “change and transformation” are too dynamic to be pinned down with static titles. Each piece I create can be viewed from any angle, offering a fresh perspective every time. It’s my way of embodying the ever-changing nature of life.
